Food For Thought

Some things that can really make you think.

These are some things my English teacher, Mrs.Pollock, has put on the board the last couple days of the 2002-2003 school year. They can really get you to thinking.

*You and a person you love deeply are placed in seperate rooms with a button next to each of you. You will both be killed unless one of you presses your button before 60 minutes passes; further more, the first to press the button will save the other person but will immediately be killed. What would you do?

*You can prevent only one of these occurances: And earthquake in Peru that would kill 40,000 people, an airplane crash in Columbus that kills 200 people, or an automoble crash that kills a friend of yours. Which would you choose?

These are some "Quotes of the Day" from my Algebra II teacher, Mrs.Corcoran's classes!
* "The door was open so we went on in!" Hayley Clairemont

* "She's thinking--I hate it when people do that!" Brad Congrove

* "I always put a star beside my name, sometimes" Christy Huffman

* "It was a case of spontaneous death" Amanda Faulkner

* "Don't blow out someone else's candle in order to make yours grow blighter." Seth Skaggs

* Upon seeing the multiple choice test, "What do we round to?" Melissa McCloskey
